Our Commitment

Magic Leap believes that accessibility is essential to delivering on our mission to harmonize people and technology to create a better, more unified world. We aim to design our platform, products and services, so that people of varying ages and ability levels may experience, use and enjoy them, resulting in a sense of belonging. As we define and advance our accessibility initiatives, we want to engage and learn from the developers, partners, customers and consumers who are using our platform, products and services.

Website Accessibility

On our public-facing websites, we will strive to conform to W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level A and Level AA. Conforming to these standards and other web accessibility best practices will help ensure our web content is perceivable, operable, understandable and robust enough to be accessible to a broad range of people, including people with disabilities and people who use assistive technologies.

Product Accessibility

Magic Leap is implementing an accessibility program, promoting inclusive design methods and integrating accessibility best practices in the development of our products. Some of our efforts include:

  • Engaging persons with disabilities and experienced accessibility consultants to understand accessibility requirements from the user perspective.
  • Providing role-specific training and guidance to employees in roles such as program management, product management, design, engineering, quality assurance, and customer support.
  • Documenting accessibility policies and procedures to help us be successful, and to advance accessibility in our product releases over time.
  • Maintaining records of our efforts to comply with applicable laws.

Through these efforts, we hope to enable users of our products to connect, collaborate and contribute to the spatial computing revolution.

Developer Guidance for Accessibility

Magic Leap is also working to provide guidance for Developers and Partners who want to build accessible apps, content and experiences for the Magic Leap platform. This guidance will evolve over time and can be found on our Developer Portal: Best Practices for Accessibility.
